Surf Camp Le Pin Sec

From the 13th of July until the 7th of September 2013 you can find our surf camp on the campsite Le Pin Sec just behind the dune only 80m away from the water. The surf camp is surrounded by the typical pine tree forest. Le Pin Sec belongs to Naujac sur-Mer a village north of , not far away from Lacanau and very close to the famous vineyards of des . Bike tours, beach volley, Yoga, bodyboarding, skim boarding or table tennis are some other activities you can practise besides surfing while you are in the surf camp. To party we have an open air disco on some nights of the week in a bar just behind the dune at the campsite and the best party is going to be in the surf camp excursions to Bordeaux, Lacanau or San Sebastian.

Surf school and Surf lessons

 Our surf lessons are taught in small groups of up to eight people by a qualified surf teacher in order to correct each mistake you do individually. 1 to 8 tutorial. Specified surf lessons.

In the surf school, we teach you with the “Bic” surfboards which we have in all shapes and sizes to offer you the most suitable board, may it be the 8.4 Magnum, 7,9 Malibu, 7.3 Minimalibu, 6.7 Shortboard or 5.6 Fish. The Bodyboards as well as the flippers we use in the surf school are all professional material. Furthermore we offer you excellent wetsuits to beware of getting cold after long hours in the water.

Surf camp - Surf school: Beginner Course

The beginner surf course consists of 20 surf lessons.

The surf camp's aim is to make you enjoy standing on a board as soon as possible. In order to obtain this result the surf school use its own teaching methods, which we have developed through out the years of experience giving surf lessons.

Though the surf lessons are mainly practical, we will not let you leave without knowing about currents, tides, surf material, wave forming and other interesting information about surfing.

Surf camp - Surf school: Intermediate Course

The intermediate surf course consists of 20 surf lessons.

This is a course for people who already have taken surf lessons in another surf course and want to continue progressing as quickly as possible. The surf shool's aim is to make you catch the green waves (unbroken waves), start surfing their face and maybe even do your first turns. As the surf courses are given in small groups you will benefit from individual treatment and correction in order to achieve your goals.

Surf camp - Surf school: Advanced Course

The advanced surf course consists of 20 surf lessons.

This course is mainly focused on people surfing almost every wave’s face side wards, willing to correct this and starting their first turns in your surf lessons. You should feel comfortable in wave’s in-between 1-1.5 meters. The surf camp's aim of the course will be agreed with the surf teacher at the beginning of the first lesson.

Surf camp - Surf school: Surf and Chill

This is a surf course made for people who want to have surf lessons, but still need a lot of time for relaxation and sunbathing.

The surf course consists of 10 surf lessons, which are mainly practically focused to make you stand on the board as quick as possible. The course will introduce you in to the addictive world of surfing while you get your surf lessons. We recommend you stay of two weeks for a greater learning process, if you book this course.

Surf camp - Surf school: Bodyboard course

The Bodyboard course of the surf school consist of 10 lessons

The surf camp's aim is to board the green Wave (unbroken face of the wave) side wards and trying the first moves. There is a notably higher feeling of success bodyboarding compared to surfing as the learning progress evolutes much faster when you lie on a board. Bodyboarding is a radical sport, often mistakenly considered a sport for crab red sunburned tourists, in a Speedo boarding white water on a sponge. Big airs, radical moves and deep barrels is the real meaning of bodyboarding.

(1 lesson = 45 minutes)

Surf Camp Accommodation

In the surf camp you will be accommodated together with another person in one of our big four-person tents. This is luxury for any camper as you won’t be sleeping on the ground but on camping beds. (Pillow, sleeping bag, camping mattress, etc. have to be brought to the surf camp by you).

Our surf camp owns a big kitchen tent, a party tent and a teaching tent as well as a material tent where you can borrow sports equipment and pushbikes for free. Our party tent contains a TV, play station and of course hi-fi system.

Meals (+ 84€)

Good food is the guarantee for a perfect day in the surf camp, that’s why the breakfast buffet offers a variety of food such as fresh baguettes, muesli, cornflakes, jam, nutella, cheese, ham, fruits, vegetables, milk, tee, cacao, coffee, juice, and other specials to start the day with.

Already in the surf camp, at breakfast, you will be able to prepare sandwiches and baguettes as well as take some fruits with you to the beach for lunch.

You will get a warm dinner with salad and desert. In the surf camp vegetarians have food too. In order to get things done neat the surf camp will ask you once a week to help out the kitchen team with the preparation and cleaning up of the meals.

Trips to San Sebastian: Spanish culture, beautiful town centre, good shopping, Tapa-bars and best party ever at noon, at a price of € 22.

Excursion to Biarritz, “Fête de Bayonne” and to surf contests (International and European surf contest), which you can book in the camp in between € 8-20.
